Hello hello (: Just decided to post something here before the wireless connection goes off again... yup, I'm tapping on my neighbour's. (:
Anyway, have you all seen this short film called Green Grass before? It's a show inspired by a life story about this guy named Glenn Lim. He currently goes to various schools speaking of his testimonial and how his life's changed. He's also a youth pastor at Church of our Savior - he made that decision after some life-changing events that happened.
Basically, when he was younger, he dropped out of school, left home, went clubbing, toured countries with his band and even became involved in drugs. So his life was pretty screwed up. Then one day, at checkpoints, he was discovered with smuggling 350g of drugs - his largest amount ever. He got arrested, and the maximum penalty was life imprisonment and caning... but during the trial he decided to turn over a new leaf... and the lawyer sentenced him to six months imprisonment and no caning at all. To him, that's God's miracle in his life. (In the film he was sentenced to 5 years and 5 strokes but that's only because the film's public and it's not really supposed to go out.)
It's a good show. I've got the CD if anyone's interested to borrow it just ask alright? Really encourage everyone to watch it (: (: It's only about 20 minutes, it'll be worth your time!
